Specialised Intensive Course of the Croatian Language and Culture is held over two weeks and consists of 75 lessons (75×45 minutes) which include language learning, specialised lectures and extracurricular activities. Students learn Croatian in 6 to 8 lessons every working day.
The course is adapted to each concrete group of students on the basis of an analysis of their interests and needs. Topics which help students learn Croatian include, among others, politics and state organisation, economy, law, society, ecology, culture and the humanities. All language skills are practised during the course (comprehension, reading, writing and speaking). Specific needs of each group of students are also taken into account.
The required level of competence for enrolling in the Specialised Intensive Croatian Language and Culture Course is level B2 or higher of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
